A traveler searching for a cheaper flight can now ask Google’s AI Mode to keep watch instead of checking fares repeatedly. The conversational search tool will show current options from more than 300 airlines and travel sites, and send an email when prices change. Flight-price tracking is available in more than 180 countries.

The request can stay in ordinary language: describe the origin, destination and dates, then ask AI Mode to track the result. Travelers ready to move can build an itinerary in the tool; those willing to wait can monitor the fare.

Points and miles are now part of the same search. Users can ask for flights or hotels priced in loyalty currencies, such as American Airlines miles, and see how many miles matching flights require. The feature is available globally, giving rewards-program members a way to filter options before leaving the conversational interface.

Hotel booking goes one step further, but its rollout is narrower. In the U.S. and in English, AI Mode is beginning to show hotels based on preferences, alongside reviews and key factors, before sending users to “Continue on Google.” There, integrated partners—including Booking.com, Expedia, Hilton, Marriott International and Priceline—handle room selection, cancellation policies, payment through Google Pay and customer service.

So what changes in practice? A traveler can move from a loosely described plan to fare alerts, rewards-based comparisons or a hotel-booking handoff in one conversation. Flight-price tracking is available in more than 180 countries, and the points-or-miles update is available globally; hotel reservations remain a U.S. rollout. Google provides the search experience; the partner handles the booking and customer service that follow.
