Adobe to bring more than 70 tools to Slack
A request typed into Slack can now set Adobe software to work. Slackbot—the platform’s AI chatbot—can call the right Adobe tool to complete the task, giving teams access to Adobe apps without leaving the conversational workspace.
The useful part is the context. Adobe says Slackbot can read information from conversations or Canvas and turn it into PDFs, images and videos. Users can also bring assets from previous campaigns or the Creative Cloud asset library into a chat, then edit them there.
The integration spans familiar names including Firefly, Adobe Express, Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Stock and Lightroom. A second route, the Adobe for Slack MCP app, will make more than 70 Adobe tools available in Slack. At launch, the integration is available to Slack Business+ and Enterprise+ teams.
Adobe is responding to how people already work. TechCrunch reports that creative and productivity companies are putting their capabilities into conversational services such as ChatGPT, Claude and Slack. Deepti Pradeep, Adobe’s senior director for agentic AI, said people are using the company’s tools in other apps for repeatable workflows such as batch-editing images or resizing creatives.
Concretely, eligible Slack teams can handle parts of a campaign from the place where the brief and its context already live: asking for an output, finding a prior asset and making an edit. Adobe’s evidence for the time-saving claim is focus-group feedback, not a quantified performance result in the announcement, so the size of the gain remains unmeasured.
