Reporting content

An inaccurate article, an unlawful comment, a request for correction or removal: write to the contact address above, stating the exact page address and what is disputed. Requests are handled case by case and, when founded, the correction is public and dated.

Comment moderation

What gets moderated is toxic behaviour — insults, harassment, spam, off-topic posts — never opinions. Doubting an announcement, finding a technology overrated or criticising the journal is a normal use of the comment space.

Every comment goes through two checks before it appears. A word filter first, which turns the message down on the spot. Then a check by an artificial intelligence model, which returns one of three verdicts: publish, refuse, or hesitate.

A “publish” verdict puts the message online straight away. In the other two cases — refusal as well as hesitation — nothing is deleted: the message is held and a person reads it. Its author is told as soon as it is sent, along with the reason it was held.

If the automatic check is unavailable — provider outage, timeout — the comment is published rather than held: moderation watches the conversation, it does not break it. The word filter always applies, since it depends on no outside service.

A moderation decision can be challenged by writing to the contact address above. The review is carried out by a person, never by the machine that issued the first verdict.

Outbound links
