Coze Desktop Adds Two-Way Sync for AI Office Work

The manuscript stayed on the computer. The agent did not wait for a manual upload. In Pandaily’s hands-on account, Coze Desktop read a local book outline, generated a website, a presentation and a promotional podcast, then saved every output to Coze’s cloud drive, where the files synchronized across the computer, phone and web.

That is the release’s practical change: two-way synchronization between the local machine and the cloud workspace. After installation, the Coze drive appears almost like a local hard drive. Users can drag files into it for cloud agents to read; changes made locally sync back, while changes made in the cloud return to the computer. The drive’s trash keeps files for 30 days.

The client also gives agents a clearer view of the screen. On a Mac, pressing the left or right Option key can capture the current window together with readable interface text. The resulting input is more than a picture: it includes structural text from the interface, which Pandaily describes as useful for web debugging. A built-in /ppt skill can turn local and online material into an editable presentation, while Seedream’s image-editing capability allows elements to be erased or text painted over.

Coze is also connecting the desktop workflow to a broader set of models and tools. The client connects GLM 5.3 and includes Seedance 2.5 and MiniMax H3 for video-related work. It can recognize local Codex CLI and Claude Code integrations as agents, enabling them to participate in multi-agent collaboration. Other official skills cover research assistance, banned-word lookup through a partner API, blog draft creation and derivative video generation from a single movie still.

So what changes in practice? For a writer, marketer or researcher, the computer becomes part of the agent’s working area instead of a separate source of files that must be ferried back and forth. That can turn a chain of small handoffs into one continuous session across devices. The evidence here is a released client and a documented hands-on workflow, not a broad measurement of reliability or adoption.
