Lektrico One EM Safe: compact 7.4 kW, solar management

Out of the box, the Lektrico One EM Safe fits into a square measuring 19 cm across and 8.8 cm deep. This 3.6 kg single-phase home charger can charge an electric car at up to 7.4 kW. Automobile Propre tested it as a high-end model, priced at around €750.

The charger is made in Timișoara, Romania, from the enclosure to the circuit board. Lektrico also designs its hardware and software with in-house teams. Its appearance remains discreet: a single cross-shaped LED indicates the charging status. The 5 m attached cable ends in a Type 2s plug with shutters, allowing the car’s cable to be left in the trunk.

The model’s practical core is its Shelly EM energy-control module, installed in the electrical panel. It measures household consumption to adjust charging power and prevent the meter from tripping. It can also promote solar self-consumption. The current can be set from 6 to 32 A, manually or through the app, which displays parameters in real time and keeps a history.

The One EM Safe communicates via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It supports two RFID cards — contactless cards used to authorize charging — as well as the OCPP 1.6 protocol, used to connect a charger to a supervision system. Integrations with Home Assistant, Alexa, Jeedom, IFTTT, KNX and SunSpec are also announced. A version without energy management costs roughly €100 less.

So, what does that mean in practice? For an owner who charges at home every evening, the Lektrico packs the power of a 7.4 kW charger, scheduling and automatic adjustment to household consumption into a small enclosure. In France, installations above 3.7 kW must be entrusted to an IRVE-qualified electrician. The features are documented by the manufacturer, and the charger was tested by Automobile Propre; no additional independent testing is mentioned in these materials.
