Tencent's WorkBuddy cuts Jahwa logistics analysis to 15 minutes

A monthly logistics review at Shanghai Jahwa used to consume two person-days. The company sells through Tmall, JD and Douyin, while warehouse, handling and delivery costs sit across seven bill types and about 60 million rows of data covering 18 months. Now, a supply-chain manager uses Tencent's WorkBuddy to bring the same review down to 15 minutes.

The manager does not code. They broke the task into steps, asked WorkBuddy to generate Python scripts, checked the results against 18 months of history and packaged the working process into reusable skills. One visualization takes three minutes; the complete monthly cycle takes under 20 minutes. For a single task, the reported speed-up reaches 150 times.

This is the point where the April pilot stopped looking like a document assistant. WorkBuddy now operates in routine production across nine departments at the century-old cosmetics maker, including supply chain, brand marketing, research and development, finance, human resources and information technology. Employees use it for formulation and regulatory research, reimbursement-rule checks, probation-review alerts, dashboards and consumer-insight work.

So, concretely, the gain goes first to domain specialists rather than software teams. A finance employee can turn a review rule into an automated step; a supply-chain worker can maintain a dashboard; a process mastered by one department can be shared with another. Shanghai Jahwa also converted 70% of its weekly presentation reviews into browser-readable HTML pages for the company to view.

Tencent and Shanghai Jahwa report that average employee efficiency has risen by more than 4.5 times. That number describes this deployment, not a universal productivity guarantee, and the account gives no independent benchmark or cost comparison. What it does show is a production-stage enterprise agent being measured through specific work: 60 million rows handled, repetitive reviews shortened and employee-built workflows reused beyond their original team.
