A 2D image enters one end of Hi3D’s workspace; a higher-detail 3D asset is meant to come out the other. On August 19, 2026, the company will launch V3.0 with 48 hours of full free access, giving users a short window to test the new model on the Hi3D platform.

The headline change is resolution. Hi3D V3.0 reaches 2048³ voxels, the tiny three-dimensional building blocks used to represent a model, up from 1536³ for the commercially available V1.0. Hi3D says the increase is designed to preserve fine detail and make generated objects easier to inspect closely.

The model sits inside a wider 3D creation workflow. Hi3D’s platform can turn a reference image into a structured model, generate textures for untextured assets, split a complete object into printable parts with connectors, prepare separate color regions for compatible multicolor printers and export in multiple formats.

And so what, concretely? A game designer, jeweler, filmmaker, industrial designer or 3D-printing user can use the free period to see whether higher-resolution generation fits an existing workflow. The stated goal is to reduce the barrier to creating 3D assets across industries and experience levels.

The evidence remains limited to the company’s announcement. Hi3D describes the intended improvements, but no independent test results are provided, and the release does not specify pricing after the August 19–20, 2026 access period.
