Toyota's 2027 bZ is now on sale in the United States, and dealerships will begin receiving it in September. The 2027 electric SUV starts at $34,980 in the US before its $1,595 delivery fee, and Toyota says American dealerships will begin receiving it in September. The XLE FWD version is rated for up to 236 miles, while the XLE FWD Plus reaches 314 miles.

The price structure is familiar, but the hardware is more flexible. The bZ comes with either a 57.7 kWh or 74.7 kWh battery, and with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The XLE FWD Plus costs $37,980 before delivery; the XLE AWD starts at $39,980, while the Limited versions start at $43,380 for front-wheel drive and $45,380 for all-wheel drive.

Charging is one of the practical changes. The built-in NACS port — the connector used by Tesla’s Supercharger network — lets bZ drivers use those chargers without an adapter. Toyota says a recharge from 10% to 80% takes around 30 minutes, and the SUV adds battery preconditioning to improve charging performance in cold weather. Plug & Charge is also included to simplify payment.

Inside, every 2027 bZ gets a 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside a 7-inch customizable instrument cluster and a dual Qi wireless phone charger. Limited models add features including 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic fixed-glass moonroof, heated rear seats, SofTex-trimmed seating, and a digital rearview mirror.

So what changes for drivers? A buyer who chooses the $37,980 XLE FWD Plus gets the bZ’s stated 314-mile range without moving to the Limited trim, while the standard NACS port removes one piece of charging friction on compatible long-distance routes. Those figures are Toyota’s estimates and specifications; no independent test is cited here, and the vehicle’s real-world range and charging time can vary.

Canada gets the 2027 bZ as well, with the lineup starting at CA$45,985 and including front- and all-wheel-drive grades. The Canadian XLE uses a 57.7 kWh battery and is listed with up to 468 km of range, while all-wheel-drive versions use a 77 kWh battery and produce 338 hp. Toyota is also clearing remaining 2026 inventory, making those outgoing models the ones most likely to carry the best deals.
