Rokid announces voice ride-hailing for its AI glasses, with Tencent

A rider says a destination into a pair of glasses. While the car approaches, the number plate, the vehicle details and the estimated arrival time stay in view, with voice reminders to look up. That is the scene Rokid and Tencent Mobility Services put forward when they announced ride-hailing for Rokid's AI glasses on October 16.
The integration joins two assistants. Rokid's assistant connects to Tencent's travel-service agent through the Agent-to-Agent protocol. Tencent supplies the travel functions: destination recommendations, pickup-point selection, nearby vehicle searches, fare estimates and comparison, booking in a single tap, and live order-status updates. Rokid's agent manages the conversation and the on-lens display. Tencent has packaged these capabilities as standardized services that wearable-device assistants can invoke, including support for payment.
Until now, the glasses extended the phone mainly as a display for information. This partnership pushes them toward completing everyday requests. The limit is clear in the design itself: payment problems, a changed destination or a cancellation remain the phone's job, which Rokid describes as the more reliable fallback. Rokid also calls the service the industry's first native ride-hailing service for AI glasses. That is the company's own claim, and no outside party is cited to confirm it.
For now, the people who gain are owners of Rokid glasses who run version 1.15 of the Rokid AI app on Android or iOS, according to Leikeji. The companies have not said which glasses models are covered or in which cities the service works. They have given no launch window and no price. Until they do, the service is announced, and its reach is unknown.
