Arcfox Alpha T7 opens pre-sales in China from 137,800 yuan
At the Chengdu Auto Show, the Arcfox Alpha T7 stood as a 5,020 mm-long fastback SUV aimed at young families. Now the model has moved from unveiling to pre-sales in China, with a subsidized starting price of 137,800 yuan. BAIC Group’s Arcfox is offering the vehicle in both battery-electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) forms.
The BEV lineup has five rear-wheel-drive variants. The entry-level 650 Plus uses a 75.4 kWh battery and carries a 650 km CLTC range claim; higher versions use 84.8 kWh batteries and claim 715 km. Every BEV version has an 800-volt platform, a motor with maximum output of 227 kW, and a stated charging time of 15 minutes from 30% to 80%.
The EREV lineup has four variants. A 1.5-liter range extender works with a 43.9 kWh battery and a motor delivering up to 200 kW. Arcfox lists a 320 km battery-only range and a 1,315 km combined range under CLTC figures. Unlike the BEV models, these versions use a 400-volt platform, but Arcfox gives them the same 15-minute charging claim from 30% to 80%. CATL supplies the battery cells for both lineups.
The Alpha T7 is also a menu of different driving-assistance packages rather than one uniform system. Four Qiankun-designated variants include Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 Pro and an in-cabin LiDAR, while some other versions use BAIC’s Yuanjing system and a roof-mounted LiDAR. The entry-level 1315 Plus EREV lists no branded driving-assistance system and has no LiDAR. Inside, a 17.3-inch 3K central screen integrates ByteDance’s Doubao and Alibaba’s Qwen language models.
So what changes for buyers? A family shopping below 200,000 yuan can choose between a fully electric SUV with up to 715 km of claimed CLTC range and an EREV with a 320 km battery-only figure plus a 1,315 km combined figure. The Alpha T7 also offers 645 liters of trunk space, expandable to 1,845 liters with the rear seats folded, and a 200-liter front trunk. Vehicle-battery separation sales could further lower the entry barrier, but Arcfox has not provided a price or launch timetable for that option. The range and charging numbers remain manufacturer specifications rather than independently tested results.
