At Ather Energy’s annual Community Day, the company put a price on its push into the mass market: the new Konarc electric scooter starts at ₹99,999. Buyers will be able to choose among four claimed range options — 100 km, 120 km, 165 km and 200 km.

The hardware is designed around longer rides. Ather cofounder and CEO Tarun Mehta said the Konarc uses a 14-inch front wheel and long-travel suspension to provide greater stability and comfort over longer journeys. The source does not specify which range option corresponds to which battery configuration.

Ather is also introducing its Advanced Electronic Braking System, or AeBS, with the scooter. The company claims AeBS delivers 20% higher peak braking force, a measure it links to greater stability and control for riders. Those performance figures come from Ather; no independent test results are cited here.

Charging is built into the scooter through a 450 W onboard charger that can connect directly to a standard power socket. Owners can also use an additional portable charger alongside the onboard unit.

Concretely, the Konarc targets mass-market buyers with a choice between four claimed range levels, while adding features aimed at comfort, braking control and everyday charging. Ather’s launch comes a day after rival Ola Electric introduced its S1Z range, powered by its locally developed 46-series lithium iron phosphate, or LFP, Bharat Cell technology. The sources do not provide the Konarc’s delivery date, battery capacity or charging time.
