At a ceremony marking its latest overseas deliveries, Mojia general manager Zhang Guibing said buyers have stopped asking whether a robot can walk, talk or dance. They now ask when it can start a job. The Chery-incubated brand says it has delivered more than 2,000 robots across more than 60 countries, turning a robot demonstration into a commercial deployment story.

Malaysia offers the clearest snapshot of that shift. Mojia's first shipment there was 1 unit in February 2025; its most recent Malaysian order reached 120 units. The company presents the change in order size as evidence that customers are moving from curiosity to use, although the figures are reported by Mojia and no independent audit is cited.

The work is already varied. In the first half of this year, 110 Mojia Zhiqing traffic-police robots entered service in several Chinese cities, directing traffic, guiding queues and communicating safety information. Moyin receptionist robots welcome visitors in car showrooms, open car doors and follow up with customers. Zhihu medical-guide robots support triage and pre-history workflows in hospitals, while the four-legged Argos performs all-terrain patrol, swarm control, payload following and multimodal interaction.

The mechanism behind the expansion is Chery's existing industrial network. Mojia reuses the automaker's intelligent sensing, navigation and control stack, alongside overseas sales channels, spare-parts hubs, localized service teams, regional subsidiaries and data-compliance staff. That means a robot shipment can draw on a support system built over 30 years, rather than requiring a standalone robotics company to create every link itself. Mojia holds EU CE and US FCC certifications, which sit in the background as the machines move into different markets.

So what changes for customers? A robot supplier can offer not only a machine, but also deployment and after-sales support across multiple countries and use cases. Chery executive vice president Xia Peng frames the competition as an industrial-system contest: the company with the strongest route from factory to working site may have an advantage over a rival with a stronger demonstration but no comparable global network. Mojia's robots are in commercial service, but the available account does not establish independent performance comparisons or show that every product is deployed at the same scale.
