Renault electric Scénic: 67 kWh LFP and 89 kWh NMC

Two years after its debut, the Renault electric Scénic is changing batteries. The “comfort range” version returns with a 67 kWh LFP battery, while the “long range” version moves to an 89 kWh NMC battery. The first change broadens the lineup; the second slightly increases available capacity.

LFP, a battery chemistry offered by Renault, is paired with the 220 hp motor and delivers a claimed 467 km of combined-cycle range with 19-inch wheels. Its main advantage is fast charging at 165 kW. The NMC battery, the other chemistry offered on the model, raises certified range to 642 km. Its charging power increases from 130 to 150 kW, with a 15–80% charge taking 28 minutes.

The changes go beyond the battery pack. Renault is refining the adaptive cruise control and Active Driver Assist, notably with an emergency stop assistant capable of slowing the vehicle to a complete stop if no driver activity is detected. The Multi Target function analyzes multiple vehicles and trajectories to better manage merging, cut-ins and slowdowns.

For buyers, this means the Scénic gains an LFP battery version and a long-range version offering more range. The NMC version can already be ordered from €46,990; the LFP version will become available later. Two new colors, gloss-black trim elements and new wheels round out the update.

These prices fall under the enhanced CEE incentive, a purchase-assistance scheme: the minimum announced incentive is €4,830, while the maximum is €8,240. These amounts are tied to the European-made batteries claimed for the Scénic. Immediate availability currently applies to the NMC version, not the LFP version.
